Our purpose

Practical experience, focused on your team.

Working with industrial systems and technical learners shaped Felipe’s approach: start with the equipment, understand the team’s difficulties, and build practical activities around them. CENATEC brings that approach to each engagement, with a scope defined around the facility’s needs.

Professional trajectory

A career built around practice and people.

Felipe’s SENAI career progressed from hands-on instruction to coordinating technical education and working with industrial employers.

  1. 2004–2011 · SENAI, BRAZIL

    Industrial automation and electrical instruction

Developed and delivered applied activities in automation, electrical systems, and mechatronics. Institutional assignments included programs within operating industrial facilities and diagnostic assistance for technical teams.

  2. 2011–2015 · SENAI, BRAZIL

    Technical Education Coordinator

Coordinated instructors, laboratories, workshops, and practical programs across multiple technical areas. Worked with regional industrial employers to translate operational needs into applied learning activities.

  3. 2025 · SOUTH CAROLINA, USA

    Founding CENATEC Technical Services

Established CENATEC to develop facility-specific diagnostic capability engagements for industrial maintenance and automation teams in the United States.

Technical background

Connected systems. Practical understanding.

Felipe’s technical practice and professional training span the electrical, control, fluid-power, and communication systems involved in industrial fault diagnosis.

Automation & control

PLCs, sensors, actuators, control signals, and process control.

Electrical systems & drives

Industrial electrical commands, motor drives, frequency inverters, and soft starters.

Pneumatics & hydraulics

Valves, actuators, circuit behavior, and pressure and flow relationships.

Industrial networks

Communication between field devices and control systems, including Fieldbus and AS-i contexts.

Education and continued technical training
Felipe completed technical education at SENAI and postgraduate studies in mechatronics at UNINOVE in Brazil. Additional professional training includes Siemens S7-300 PLC systems, industrial communication networks, pneumatic and hydraulic automation, and Foundation Fieldbus.

The SFBDM approach

Experience shaped into a diagnostic sequence.

Felipe Marins developed the Structured Failure-Based Diagnostic Methodology Framework (SFBDM) drawing on industrial diagnostic practice and technical capability development.

Its five stages connect fault identification, signal interpretation, root cause analysis, intervention selection, and post-repair validation. CENATEC adapts the activities and documentation to each engagement.
